ABOUT
Ollie Amhurst

After being accepted into the Master’s program in Fine Art at Falmouth University, I used the time before the course began to embark on my journey as a working artist. That leap of faith led to early success—selling works from my first series and receiving private commissions—which ultimately inspired me to pursue my practice professionally, foregoing the master’s program in favour of real-world experience. I previously founded and grew a fashion brand that was stocked by major retailers worldwide—all achieved without marketing, PR or a legion of social media followers. That experience grounded me in the realities of starting from zero and with that spirit, I created the tagline for both my website and my first exhibition:

YOU DON’T KNOW ME, BUT HERE I AM

It’s a quiet declaration of presence. I may lack media coverage or a strong social media following, but I trust that people will connect with my work based on their own instincts—not trends or algorithms.

I hope my work finds its way through genuine word-of-mouth—shared by friends and friends of friends—and into beautiful homes where it can live and resonate. I want to be able to paint freely and without social pressure and create pieces that spark reflection and endure over time.

My work focuses on human emotion through texture, friendships and personal experiences.

“I like to use my art as a way to communicate human expression.”
